Property Worx Real Estate

Whether you're looking for a home to rent, or to rent your home - we'll deliver exceptional service. Our tenants enjoy easy communication with our office and speedy responses; our owners enjoy reliable management and a flat fee with no hidden charges. We also partner with outside vendors to offer lawn care, renters insurance and even house cleaning for tenants looking for more. For owners, we offer help in purchasing, remodeling, and all aspects of management services from marketing to tenant screening to rent collection and more.

  • How does Property Worx Real Estate screen applicants?

    We require 3 times the monthly rent in gross household income. We also verify length of employment and look for at least 90 days of steady income.


    • Rental History - Rental history is not required, but a verifiable rental reference can make your application stronger. Examples of a verifiable rental reference is someone who is a professional property manager or licensed NC Real Estate Broker.
    • Criminal Background Check - Recent convictions can disqualify an applicant. Past convictions, arrests, and some recent non-violent charges could possibly have no weight on the potential tenants application. These incidents are weighed on a case by case basis.
    • Credit & Collection History - Property Worx Real Estate does perform a full credit profile review on applicants above the age of 18. We look at your entire history, including late payments, collections, and current open accounts. We put very litle weight on medical collections or student loans.
  • What is Property Worx Real Estate application Fee?

    The application fee is $50 per person over the age of 18 that will be residing in the residence and is non-refundable.

  • How do I apply to rent a property?

    All applications can be completed and submitted from the Property Worx Real Estate website. All required documents must be submitted before an application will be

    reviewed. 

  • Are pets allowed?

    • Unless it is otherwise stated in the property's description, no pets are allowed.
    • If pets are allowed there may be an additional pet fee and the security deposit and monthly rent may increase.
  • Is the monthly rent negotiable?

    No. Our advertised monthly rent rates are non-negotiable

  • When is my rent due?

    • Rent is due on the 1st of every month.
    • If we have not received your rent by the end of business on the 5th of the month, you will be assessed a late fee equal to 5% of your monthly rent.
    • If we have not received your rent by the end of business on the 10th day of the month, we will be forced to file for eviction. 
  • What happens if eviction is filed on me?

    • You will be served a court summons with a date to appear in court. You may pay your back due balance, along with any other fees due in whole prior to the court date and the eviction will be dismissed.
    • If you fail to pay the balance due in whole before the court date, you will have to appear in court. If the magistrate rules in the favor of Property Worx Real Estate, you will have 10 days to vacate the property or pay your balance in full. After the 10th day if you have not paid your balance or vacated the property we will file for a writ of possession and take possession of the property after the Sheriff’s Office has removed you from the property. 
  • What do I do when I’m ready to move out?

    • You will need to submit a written 30-day notice to Property Worx Real Estate. Once we receive your 30-day notice we will provide you with a Moving Checklist.
    • Once you have vacated the property, you must return all keys to the Property Worx Real Estate office. Rent is charged until we receive your keys.
    • Once we have the keys a move-out inspection will be completed and your security deposit will be returned if there are no additional fees owed within 30 days of your move-out.
